I am hooked on gardening. My plants have become my babies. Yikes. It has gotten so bad that I have threatened the life of the neighbors pesky goat when it got a hold of one of my cantaloupe plants and nibbled on my one and only giant pumpkin. I still fantasize about hitting that goat in the rump with a paintball gun. Unhealthy behavior, I know.

Porter loves the playground. He gets giddy when he sees the toys. I think Lex does too. They both love to play and are the best of buds. That makes me happy.
We enjoy living so close to this flight park. Lex wants to go parasailing so bad, and I am like, SAY WHAT! He loves (dangerous) adventure and I am a "worst case scenario" type of a person, so you can only imagine what goes through my mind when he wants to do this.

Porter has a mild to serious obsession with tractors. EVERYTHING is a tractor and grandpa gets special hugs from Porter because he drives the tractor. He is all boy. More boy than I can handle sometimes, and to think we have another one just like him on the way. Oy. I want to sleep just thinking about it! However, we love our little boy(s) and we would be perfectly happy if all the babies we have are boys (we would accept a girl too).
Is it just Porter, or do all boys have a problem with stuffing way to much food in their mouths at once? I don't think I will ever trust him to eat without supervision!
I planted a garden in my parents corral. Watermelons, jack-o-lanterns, cantaloupe, tomatoes, and massive 200 pound pumpkins (just for fun).
And this is sweet Violet. The newest addition to my parents family! LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!

We love dirt!
Yesterday was the first bout of warm weather that Porter has experienced while being able to walk in his short little life so far.
HE LOVED IT!
He loved it so much that while attempting to take him inside he would thrash, scream, then turn into a limp noodle as if all the happiness in the world had been taken away.
Dirt, rocks, grass, and anything with wheels is his thing. He is so much like his dad.
He likes to throw sand.
Thank goodness cousin Drake is patient. Porter pelted him in the face over, and over, and over again.
And again.
Does it not feel so good when your kids completely destroy a pair of shoes? I love it!

Catching Up....
It has been way to long since I have updated this thing. A lot has happened. Mr. Porter turned one in October and is walking, running, jumping, and dancing (my favorite) every moment of the day that he is awake. He is such a happy boy! Lexington works for American Family Insurance and is loving it. I thought he would always come home from work with dirt on his face and mud on his boots, but surprisingly, being a business man suits him. I got certified as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). I have wanted to be an EMT since high school and I am so happy I finally did it! I love everything about emergency medicine and hope to continue my education until I am a paramedic! Most of all, I am happy being a nose wiping, diaper changing, peek-a-boo playing MOM with oatmeal in my hair! Babies and a sweet husband bring the most joy!
